#1 Worst Food For Diabetics For Aging by Dave Salois

Yes, the #1 worst food a diabetic can eat is whole wheat. It accelerates aging through a process called “glycation” and a substance called Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs).  These nasty little AGEs are compounds that speed up the aging process in our bodies including damage, over time, to all the organs, the joints, and of course, wrinkled skin.

So what are the biggest factors that increase production of AGEs inside the body?  Well, this may surprise you, but high blood sugar levels over time dramatically increase age-accelerating AGEs in your body.  This is why many type 2 diabetics do not appear to age well and tend to look older than their real age.  But this age-increasing effect is not just limited to diabetics, it pretty well effects anyone who consumes whole wheat.

Large food companies want you to believe that “whole wheat” is healthy for you… but it isn’t.  In fact wheat contains an unusual type of carbohydrate (not found in other foods) called Amylopectin-A, which has been found to spike blood sugar higher in some tests than even pure table sugar.

As a matter of fact, amylopectin-A (from wheat) has been found to raise blood sugar more than almost any other carbohydrate source on earth based on blood sugar response testing that’s documented in medical studies. This means that wheat-based foods such as cereals, muffins, breads, bagels, and other baked goods often cause much higher blood sugar levels than most other carbohydrate sources.

Make Yourself Heart Attack Proof by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn

This video by VegSource shows Caldwell Esselstyn, MD of the famed Cleveland Clinic giving a full 62 minute talk on how to Make Yourself Heart Attack Proof from the 2003 VegSource Healthy Lifestyle Expo.

Dr. Esselstyn’s ongoing 21-year study shows that you CAN reverse heart disease and save your life. Of 20 patients sent home to die by their cardiologists in 1989, every one is still alive and healthy today, and heart-disease free, even though together they had had a total of 63 cardiac events before entering his study.

This talk and many other life-saving presentations are available on DVD from the VegSource store at https://secure2.vegsource.com/catalog/
